May Redding is a multidisciplinary designer with a diverse creative background.

She began her career in New York City as a fashion stylist before launching her own men’s swimwear label, Quit Mad Stop.

Her foray into spatial design began in 2013 with the opening of Uncle Boons, a Thai restaurant in NYC. Responsible for the interiors, brand identity, and visual content, Redding discovered her true calling in crafting immersive environments. Uncle Boons went on to earn a Michelin star and a devoted following.

In the fall of 2024, Redding brought her distinct vision to London with the design of AngloThai—a Thai-British restaurant redefining the global perception of Thai cuisine. For the project, she collaborated closely with contemporary Thai artists, creating a space that seamlessly bridges cultures through design. AngloThai was awarded a Michelin star in 2025.

Since her debut, Redding has continued to design restaurants and develop brand identities and products for a range of ventures. Her work is characterized by a filmic sensibility, with spaces that feel both timeless and transportive.

Now based in Bangkok, she draws inspiration from the city’s rich creative scene, collaborating with contemporary artists and designers.
